Teachers are Artists

Teachers Remind us Who We Are And What We Can Be

Stealing an Idea from Art: Or the Creative Act

The goal of art isn’t to attain perfection. The goal is to share who we are. And how we see the world. Artists allow us to see what we are unable to see, but somehow already know. The artist's perception reminds us of who we are and who we can be. (Rick Rubin, The Creative Act: A Way of Being)

Thinking about Rubin’s idea regarding art and the goal of an artist, It could be suggested that a teacher seeks to do the same thing.

The art of teaching incorporates the art of discovery. Teachers and students are artists.
